We turn ideas into apps.
socal labs is a product studio and a growth team in one. We design and ship web apps, mobile apps and storefronts, then run the marketplace, creative and paid media that make them sell.
- Figma file to first sale
- Two-week sprints, live staging

iOS · The last mile
We take it all the way to the store.
Design, build, review, release. Your app doesn't stop at a repo, it ships with its listing, screenshots and submission handled.
Apphia Health — App Store listing, screenshots and submission handled end to end.
What buyers and guests say about the brands we ship
Quotes from public Amazon reviews and guest feedback on Apphia, HiTork and Brown Cows.
Easy and convenient. Clear instructions, results in minutes, and a result window that is easy to read. Affording Made in USA quality at a better price.
As a part-time mechanic I was shocked at the quality and comfort for the price. I plan to look at their other tools.
Peaceful and rejuvenating stay in a mud cottage. Beautiful farm setting in Telangana.
Midstream design simplifies testing. Result window is clear, no second-guessing. Bundle offers good value and peace of mind.
Solid set especially for the price. Used it for suspension work, gave it a beating, still perfect. Accurate sizing and a real organizer tray.
Participated in milking and making butter. The A2 ghee is outstanding, pure and fragrant. Kids loved every moment.
We build it. Then we grow it.
Two halves of the same team. Most clients start on one side and end up using both.

Six steps, same every time
Same six steps on every engagement, build or growth. You always know which one you're in and what comes next.
-
01
Discovery
Goals, users, constraints and the one number this project has to move.
-
02
Definition
Scope, flows and a fixed number, agreed before anyone opens a design file.
-
03
Design
A system, not a set of screens. Reviewed in prototype before it gets built.
-
04
Build
Two-week increments on staging you can open whenever you like.
-
05
Launch
QA, accessibility pass, performance budget and tracking live from hour one.
-
06
Grow
Campaigns, creative and marketplace work against the number we agreed in step one.
The reasons brands call us
Six sentences we hear on almost every first call, and what we do about each one.
“My agency ships slowly and I never see progress.”
Fixed scope, two-week increments, and a staging URL you can open any day of the week.
“The app works but nobody uses it.”
Usually a product problem, not an engineering one. We start at flows and instrumentation, not features.
“My site looks fine and converts badly.”
Conversion work on the pages that carry traffic, copy, speed, creative and checkout, measured properly.
“My creative looks cheap next to competitors.”
Brand, packaging, product imagery and 3D produced in-house, no three-week wait for a revision.
“Amazon eats my margin and I can't see why.”
Campaign structure rebuilt around contribution profit, plus listing and catalog work that stops the leak upstream.
“I have five vendors and nobody owns the number.”
One team across build, creative and growth. One report, one person accountable for the outcome.
Why brands keep us on retainer
No handoffs
The team that ships the app is the team that runs the ads pointed at it. Nothing gets lost in translation between vendors.
We sell products too
We run our own e-commerce brand. Every recommendation has been tested on our own P&L before it reaches yours.
Engineers, not templaters
Real applications with real backends, not a page builder with a logo dropped on it.
Reporting in English
What changed, what it cost, what happens next. Written by a person, not exported from a dashboard.
The questions you were going to ask anyway
If yours isn't here, ask it on the form, we answer every one.
What does a project cost?
Discovery is a fixed, small fee. After it you get a scope and a number for the build, not a range that moves. Ongoing growth work runs monthly. We'd rather lose a deal on price than surprise you halfway through one.
How long does a build take?
A marketing site or Shopify storefront: 4–8 weeks. A mobile app or web application: 12–20 weeks to a first release, depending on scope. Anyone quoting faster without seeing your requirements is guessing.
Do I have to use you for both build and growth?
No. Plenty of clients use one side only. The reason we offer both is that the handoff between a dev shop and a marketing agency is where most projects lose a quarter.
Who owns the code and the accounts?
You do, repositories, ad accounts, analytics, everything. We work inside your accounts where possible and hand over cleanly if you ever leave.
Do you work with early-stage companies?
Yes, when the scope is real. We'd rather build a sharp first version than a full platform for an idea that hasn't met a customer.
What happens after launch?
Either you take it in-house with documentation and a handover session, or we stay on a support and growth retainer. Both are normal; neither is locked in.
Tell us what you're building.
Tell us what you're building — or just the problem. We'll reply with an approach, a rough timeline, and a number before you commit to anything.
- A written reply from a person, not an autoresponder
- An honest read on whether we're the right studio for it
- A rough approach and number before any commitment
- Within one business day
